PETALUMA, Calif. -- Turin Networks, Inc., a leading global provider of innovative Carrier Ethernet, Converged Services and Wireless Backhaul solutions for wireline and wireless network operators and private networks, today announced that they have successfully completed rigorous interoperability testing with the United States Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) at Indian Head, Maryland on its Traverse Multiservice Transport Switch, TraverseEdge 100, and TraverseEdge 206 products. JITC provides a full-range of agile and cost-effective test, evaluation and certification services to support the U.S. Department of Defense's (DoD) rapid acquisition and deployment of Turin's products to support advanced Ethernet, IP and TDM-based applications. JITC assessment and approval is required for systems to be deployed in U.S. DoD networks.

"Turin's iConnect(TM) for Carrier Ethernet communications solutions provide economical and secure bridges from legacy TDM to packet-centric networking," said Henry Wasik, President and CEO of Turin Networks. "The scalability and versatility that we've built into our Traverse and TraverseEdge products will help our government customers make the transition from a circuit-based to a packet-optimized infrastructure to better support net-centric applications."
