BATM to Buy Vigilant

KFAR NETTER, Israel -- BATM Advanced Communications (BVC:LN) a leading provider of carrier-class transport and access solutions for public and private IP and TDM networks, announced today that it has made an offer to purchase Vigilant Technology (VGT:AIM), a worldwide leading provider of intelligent IP surveillance and security solutions. The transaction will enable BATM to expand its business to include a complete range of high-end digital CCTV surveillance systems and intelligent video content analysis.

Vigilant Technology specializes in software and hardware which enables the capture, storage, archiving, retrieval and analysis of video and audio data from a large number of devices. The company will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of BATM, and will maintain an R&D team and research facility located in Tel-Aviv, Israel, as well as sales offices in the UK and USA.
