SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Entone, Inc., the IPTV connected home company, and Minerva Networks, the leading provider of open IPTV services management platforms, today unveiled their whole-home digital video recorder (DVR) solution which they will be demonstrating at NXTComm in Las Vegas (June 17th – 19th). Entone is highlighting the immediate availability of their award-winning and field-proven Hydra™ HD IP video gateway with whole-home DVR that is integrated with Minerva’s iTVManager middleware platform.

Entone’s Hydra HD IP video gateway allows service providers to offer advanced IPTV services, such as whole-home DVR, throughout a subscriber’s home using existing in-home coax cabling and without requiring a set-top box at each television set. With Hydra HD users can independently record, pause, play, rewind, and fast-forward live or recorded programming from any TV in their home network.

“To be competitive in this dynamic market, it’s important for operators to get new revenue-generating services to market as soon as possible,” states Ian Jefferson, VP of Business Development at Entone. “By leveraging our close partnership with Minerva Networks, we’re able to offer a multi-stream IPTV solution with whole-home DVR capabilities that is ready to be deployed.”
