IoT Couldn't Help the Atlanta Falcons, but It Can Help You

The Internet of Things wouldn't have been able to help the Atlanta Falcons win the Super Bowl over the New England Patriots but the technology could transform your business.

The way IoT and cloud computing is changing business, as well as IT, is the subject of the latest Enterprise Cloud News webinar, which features Steve Brumer, a partner at 151 Advisors and a Falcons fan.

151 Advisors helps companies with their technology strategies and has been heavily involved in mobile, analytics, IoT and cloud computing.

In his talk, Brumer spoke about how IoT is changing many different industries, including manufacturing, where revenues are expected to reach $178 billion in the next few years, as well as transportation, projected to reach $78 billion and utilities at $69 billion.

Additionally, the drop in cellular prices, as well as LTE, have made IoT more affordable to companies that want to start projects.

Despite the hype around IoT, security remains a major concern. Brumer quoted one statistic that found 63% of enterprises are using cloud, big data, IoT and container environments without securing sensitive data.

This free webinar is now available for listening on-demand on the Enterprise Cloud News site.
