Earthlink to Deploy Foundry NetIron

ISP has successfully evaluated Foundry's NetIron 400 Internet routers with OC12c/STM4 packet over Sonet/SDH interfaces

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Foundry Networks(TM), Inc. (NASDAQ: FDRY), a leader in high-performance, end-to-end switching and routing solutions, announced today that EarthLink (NASDAQ: ELNK), the country's second largest Internet service provider, has successfully evaluated and will soon deploy Foundry's NetIron(TM)400 Internet routers complete with OC-12c/STM4 Packet Over SONET/SDH interfaces to support their OSPF and BGP4 networks. A long-time Foundry customer, EarthLink now uses Foundry's full product suite of Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4-7 products. EarthLink will deploy Foundry's NetIron400 in their network providing Gigabit Ethernet aggregation to their high-speed Packet Over SONET/SDH backbone networks.
