Analyst: SD-WAN Not Yet Zero-Touch

Zero-touch provisioning and plug-and-play are still buzzwords where SD-WAN is concerned, but not reality, says Erin Dunne, director of research services for Vertical Systems Group. Getting there today requires weeks or months of network engineering upfront, and many network operators might not have staff prepared to do that. On a brighter note, MEF 3.0 standards are speeding up service delivery for larger operators who have been certified, she says.
