SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR), a leading provider of trusted infrastructures for the New Public Network, today announced that CANARIE, Inc. (Canadian Network for the Advancement of Research, Industry and Education) is deploying Juniper Networks M-series Internet routers in CA*net 4, Canada's next-generation national research and innovation network. CANARIE has selected Juniper Networks M40e and M20 Internet routers to deliver reliable, scalable and secure IP services across its high-speed, private network. Juniper Networks IP infrastructure will also deliver IPv6 and multicast at line-rate across all interfaces. CA*net 4 spans Canada from Victoria, British Columbia, to St. John's, Newfoundland, and extends into parts of the United States. This multiservice network connects more than 2,000 Canadian institutions with flexible and reliable voice, video and data capacity. As a result, Canadian researchers and scientists can develop their best-in-class education, research and technology initiatives and rapidly showcase them to the world. 'CANARIE selected Juniper Networks based upon its proven results for the reliable transport of multiservice traffic across Canada, North America and throughout the world,' noted Bill St. Arnaud, senior director, Advanced Networks at CANARIE. 'Our nationwide network provides a critical communication link to thousands of research institutions and we trust Juniper Networks products to provision IP services at scale. Like CANARIE, Juniper Networks ability to demonstrate technology leadership was at the forefront of our decision to deploy the M-series Internet routers.' Canarie Inc. Juniper Networks Inc.
