Asia Global Crossing Makes a Sale

HONG KONG -- DACOM committed to capacity purchases on Asia Global Crossing systems equivalent to 20 STM-1s during the second quarter, Asia Global Crossing announced today. The commitment comes prior to the Korea landing of Asia Global Crossing’s East Asia Crossing pan-Asian system. East Asia Crossing is expected to connect Korea by the end of the third quarter.Asia Global Crossing’s East Asia Crossing system already connects Japan, Hong Kong, and Taipei. After the Korea landing in the third quarter, the system will link Singapore in the fourth quarter, and the Philippines and Malaysia in early 2002.
