SUWANEE, Ga. -- ARRIS (Nasdaq: ARRS) today announced that the ARRIS Cadant C4 Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) has been awarded DOCSIS® 2.0 qualification by CableLabs in its Certification Wave 29. In earlier Certification Waves this year, the ARRIS Cadant C3 CMTS received DOCSIS 2.0 qualification and the Touchstone TM402P was awarded DOCSIS 2.0 and PacketCable 1.0 certification.

“We are extremely pleased to have earned this distinction,” said ARRIS Broadband VP Engineering Dan Hickey. “The addition of DOCSIS 2.0 functionality to the Cadant C4 product further extends our industry-leading scalability and throughput. We have numerous customers awaiting the features incorporated in the C4’s new 2Dx12U blade -- features which will translate into substantial efficiency gains, and the ability for them to provide superior data rates over the competition.”
