ZTE multi-service edge routers preferred in China Telecom IP network construction.
January 19, 2015
SHENZHEN, China -- ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, is playing a leading role in the provisioning of multi-service edge (MSE) routers to China Telecom Group.
During the past three years, almost 51 percent of China Telecom’s centralised purchases for MSE routers were allocated to ZTE, demonstrating their superior performance and capabilities. In the most recent China Telecom IP network tender, ZTE won the second-highest allocation for MSE routers, and was awarded the largest share of orders for service routers (SR).
MSE routers play a central role in China Telecom’s ongoing upgrade of IP Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN). MSE routers enable operators to integrate traditional large customer private line oriented SR and broadband access servers (BRAS), helping to accelerate new service deployment, improve user experience, reduce network elements, and improve network resource utilisation as well as maintenance efficiency.
