ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- ZCorum, an industry leader in the deployment of managed diagnostics tools and software for broadband providers, unveiled version 2.0 of PreEqualization Analyzer today at the NCTC Winter Educational Conference. PreEqualization Analyzer is the company’s DOCSIS proactive network maintenance (PNM) tool. The new release incorporates a new dashboard summary of modem status and overall health for all CMTSs, enhanced correlation features, and the addition of historical RF levels.
PreEqualization Analyzer uses the pre-equalization data from cable modems to identify and locate impairments in the upstream cable plant, which allows operators to fix issues before they impact subscribers. Version 2.0 has an improved correlation algorithm and new features that make it easier for operators to identify subscribers being affected by the same impairment.
The new release includes a setting that lets the user control the sensitivity of the correlation algorithm that determines common impairments, and the correlation function now shows modems that are correlated even if they are on different frequencies. In addition, the historical CPE data available in the application now includes RF statistics like transmit power, SNR and codeword errors.
ZCorum will be highlighting the new features of the product during the conference this week in Booth 400 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. Broadband providers interested in getting started immediately with PreEqualization 2.0 can sign up for a free trial here or see a demo at the NCTC Winter Education Conference show beginning today.
