The announcement of new sales and support centers demonstrates Xtera's commitment to create a premier global support organization staffed by individuals with proven track records. The first opening occurred in France to support the EMEA region following successful customer wins and a flawless deployment of an all-optical multi-service network.

Sales and support centers were also launched to support China and South East Asia, Japan and South America.

Mr. Chungmin (CM) Lu heads the China and South East Asia regional support center. Mr. Lu will lead business development and customer relationship activity from the regional support centers located in Taipei and Shanghai.

Mr. Yuki Nagasako has been recruited to manage the office located in Japan. Mr. Nagasako, with a reputation as an authority on optical communication systems, has been leading technical and business development activity in both Asia-Pacific and the US for many years. He has established a successful track record of building business, partner and customer relations while working for such companies as Asia Global Crossing, Lucent (Japan), NTT Transmission Systems Lab and Nissho Electronics.

"We look forward to offering our global customers local support along with unmatched technology to meet their needs of simplifying and automating their networks.
