Mapics Inc. announces software license and professional services agreements with Xanoptix

ATLANTA -- MAPICS, Inc. (Nasdaq: MAPX), a global provider of collaborative, extended ERP applications for manufacturers, today announced software license and professional services agreements with Xanoptix, a high tech manufacturer of next generation optoelectronics. These agreements, which were completed in June, will provide Xanoptix with the MAPICS High Tech Manufacturing Solution as well as MAPICS Professional Services. "Xanoptix is building a best-in-class optoelectronic manufacturing operation that requires the capability to effectively monitor and integrate both internal and external manufacturing processes," said Paul Heller, vice president of operations at Xanoptix. "We evaluated several enterprise application vendors and found that MAPICS provided the best high tech solution with the flexibility to manage both our device fabrication and module assembly operations."
