MINNEAPOLIS -- Optical Solutions Inc., the market leader in PON-based solutions for the last mile, today announced that Fargo-based IdeaOne Telecom will overbuild sections of the city's business district with Optical Solutions' FiberPath Fiber-to-Main-Street solution. The deployment will feature Optical Solutions' FiberPoint 440, which is specifically engineered for converged delivery of voice, data and video to businesses and multiple dwelling units. IdeaOne Telecom serves customers in Fargo, N.D., West Fargo, N.D., and Moorhead, Minn., population 172,000. The company will compete with the incumbent and competitive telephone and Internet providers for broadband services.
