Net Lynk selects SupportSoft ServiceGateway software for DSL Forum TR-069 CPE configuration

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- SupportSoft, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPRT), a leading provider of Real-Time Service Management (RTSM™) software, today announced that Net Lynk, the United Kingdom’s largest broadband hardware to ISP distributor, has selected SupportSoft ServiceGateway™ for “zero touch configuration” of DSL customer premises equipment (CPE). As a result, Net Lynk can help service providers add new broadband customers more quickly and easily -- and without the need for costly assistance by a technician.

Net Lynk customers reflect the majority of the U.K.’s broadband service providers, helping them deploy over 50% of the country’s DSL CPEs including brands such as Thomson, Alcatel, BT and NetGear. Net Lynk selected ServiceGateway to automate the installation of DSL CPEs within minutes of service provider customers receiving their new DSL modem. ServiceGateway is designed to automatically detect and discover the CPE device using the DSL Forum’s TR-069 specification, as well as automatically configure the device for the service provider and service level ordered by the high-speed data customer.

Through Net Lynk, DSL SHOP, DSL DEPOT and DSL SUPPORT divisions, the company is able to provide complete business solutions for its service provider partners that include unique applications for configuration management. In the first quarter of 2005, the United Kingdom was the fastest growing market in DSL usage, adding more than 20% new DSL lines to reach almost 5 million DSL subscribers - nearly twice the worldwide growth of DSL subscriptions[1].
