Ethernity Networks is awarded a key patent on Ethernet MAC

LOD, Israel -- Ethernity Networks Ltd, a leading supplier of FPGA base Multiservice Fabric Flow Processors for Carrier Grade Ethernet appliances, today announced that is has been awarded patent number 7,924,863 by the US Patent Office for a "DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING DATA CHUNKS". The invention relates to methods and devices for managing data chunks, especially in a multi-port aggregation devices , which dramatically decrease the logic needed for multiple ports Ethernet/IP aggregation implementation in FPGA or ASIC. The patent also applies to the support of any other multiple port design including ATM, PPP, or TDM.
