HELSINKI -- Comptel Corporation, a leading convergent mediation, charging and provisioning software provider, has today introduced a new set of provisioning solutions for operator types in three areas: mobile, fixed and cable networks. The solutions are based on Comptel’s industry-leading Comptel InstantLink® provisioning product that is a highly scalable all-purpose platform for telecom provisioning and service activation.

Comptel Provisioning Solutions for Mobile extends a provisioning system’s role from just being a cost-saver to becoming an all-around enabler. The solution set provides versatile capabilities - from self-service to discovery-based provisioning and automated number portability, as well as virtual operator hosting.

Comptel Provisioning Solutions for Fixed Network provides automated and field-proven activation for different parts of the access and core networks as well as service platforms. The solution set covers both residential and business services. It supports technologies and services such as xDSL, IP-VPN, PSTN, video, and as latest addition, VoIP.

Comptel Provisioning Solutions for Cable enables cable operators to activate triple-play and even quadruple-play services with one multi-service provisioning platform. The same platform supports also provisioning of high-speed data and TV services. When all services are activated with one platform, an operator’s IT landscape is more consolidated. Furthermore, Comptel’s solution supports operators in launching VoIP services as it has long experience in voice technologies.

“Comptel’s objective is to provide solutions that address real challenges in today’s operator environments. The new solutions are all based on operator needs and feedback from real customer deployments,” says Markku Järvenpää, Senior Vice President, Provisioning Business Division, Comptel Corporation.
