Walsh jumps ship from Computacenter to take EVP role

LONDON -- Colt, Europe’s leading information delivery platform, today announced that it will appoint Simon Walsh as Executive Vice President of its newly formed Colt Enterprise Services business.
Walsh will join Colt in February 2011 from Computacenter, where he was UK Managing Director and will be responsible for expanding the company’s role as a major provider of integrated networking, IT and communications services.
Walsh brings considerable managed services experience to Colt. He will continue the focus on its enterprise cloud strategy which is uniquely positioned to meet the cost and speed to market pressures of businesses throughout Europe.
As part of Colt’s new go to market model, its Enterprise Services business will focus on helping enterprises achieve increased levels of performance by integrating networking and IT services. Drawing on its pioneering European network and extensive data centre services over 3,000 enterprises across Europe rely on Colt’s expertise to design, deliver and manage their vital IT and network needs.
