CableLabs Issues RFI for Commercial DOCSIS Gear

Seeking to spur further expansion by the cable industry into commercial services, CableLabs issued a request for information (RFI) yesterday for integrated DOCSIS Access Device (IDAD) equipment. CableLabs said the development of IDAD gear will enable cable operators to offer data and voice services for small businesses and other commercial customers. RFI responses are due Jan. 14.
