Blue Sky appoints Chris Gladding as vice president of sales; shifts more emphasis to sales as it ramps up for full production

MILPITAS, Calif. -- Blue Sky Research, a supplier of leading-edge optical components and subsystems for optical networking announced today that Chris Gladding has joined the company's executive team as Vice President of Sales. Gladding comes to Blue Sky Research with over 18 years of multinational sales and marketing experience in the fiber optics industry. He will report directly to Dan Hu, President and CEO of Blue Sky Research. "Chris is a highly motivated individual with an extraordinary network of contacts from nearly two decades in the fiber optics industry," said Hu. "As Blue Sky Research brings new technical and manufacturing capabilities to the optical industry, Chris will help us to clearly define and penetrate the markets for our products." Before joining Blue Sky Research, Gladding was Senior Director of Global Accounts for JDS Uniphase where he was responsible for all aspects of JDSU's business with all Cisco Systems sites and acquisitions worldwide. Prior to that, he was Senior Director of North American Sales for E-TEK Dynamics, and was part of the management team that steered E-TEK's successful growth that culminated in an $18 billion merger with JDSU.
