Belgium's Ideatel selects ADC's Cuda CMTS and FastFlow Broadband Provisioning Manager (BPM) for the regions of Mons and the Center

MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (Nasdaq:ADCT; today announced that Belgian cable operator IDEATEL has selected Cuda(TM) Cable Modem Termination Systems (CMTS) for its network in the regions of Mons and the Center. Over 140,000 homes are connected to IDEATEL's cable plant, making Cuda the best solution to serve the many smaller systems that comprise the IDEATEL network. IDEATEL has also selected ADC's FastFlow(R) Broadband Provisioning Manager (BPM) for the service activation and configuration of the Cuda systems in the network.

ADC's partner in Europe, Siemens, has played a pivotal role in helping IDEATEL design, configure and upgrade its network to offer high-speed Internet access to its subscriber base.

IDEATEL is the CATV operating arm of IDEA, "Intercommunale de Developpement Economique et d'Amenagement du Territoire". IDEA provides a wide range of public and utility services to the 25 municipalities in the region of Mons and plays an active part in stimulating economic growth in the area.

ADC has deployed close to 900 Cuda systems to customers worldwide including Adelphia, Cox Communications, Fibernet, ish, Kabel Baden-Wuerttemberg, TKS, iESY, Monet, Multikabel, Nanjing CATV, SEMCable and Vialis. The company has a leadership position in carrier-class CMTS shipments and approximately 19% of the global CMTS market.
