4:05 PM Down come the Nortel signs
4:05 PM -- Interesting observation by analyst Nick Lippis of Lippis Enterprises : With Avaya Inc. buying out the Nortel Networks Ltd. enterprise business, an old SynOptics building changes hands yet again. That's from Lippis's Twitpic feed, used with permission. (Here's a link to the original.)
That building is on Great America Parkway in Santa Clara, Calif., literally in screaming distance of the Great America amusement park. It used to be the headquarters for SynOptics ... which became Bay ... which became Nortel. And now that piece of Nortel is part of Avaya. Change marches on.
Thanks to Lippis for sharing the photo, saving me a trip out in the rain.
