Aruba Denies Veep Drain

Enterprise wireless LAN startup Aruba Wireless Networks has denied rumors that its vice presidents of software and hardware development are no longer with the company.

Unstrung had heard from sources and message board chatter that Kent Headrick (hardware) and Michael Lin (software) may have left the building. Aruba's communications director David Callisch, however, says both are still gainfully employed by the company.

But, he adds, "We are going to bring a new VP of engineering to oversee them both."

The rumors seem to have arisen because Headrick and Lin were removed from the executive list on the company Website. Callisch says he took them off for space reasons. "No one knew who they were anyway," he explains in a post on the Unstrung message board.

Aruba has also recently hired a new CEO, ex-Cisco exec Don LeBeau. Callisch says the new broom is still sweeping new people onboard as it shuffles incumbent staff around.

The company's former interim CEO and co-founder, Pankaj Manglik, exclusively revealed to Unstrung last week that he is leaving the company to start his own venture (see Aruba Founder Switches Off).
