AMSTERDAM -- Teledata Networks, a leading provider of wireline access products and network solutions for telecom operators and service providers worldwide, announced today a new release of FleXport, a powerful multiservice solution providing advanced datacom services over copper/fiber infrastructure for the business sector.
The new FleXport release includes simultaneous support for TDM and ATM based services. Separate uplinks to the TDM and ATM networks are also supported, enabling the two networks to share common equipment for effective infrastructure utilization, and providing a transition path from TDM to packet based services.
Diverse business-oriented applications and data services are supported in this release, from V.35/X.21 and E1 to Ethernet over copper using xDSL technologies. All the FleXport service cards can operate with a wide variety of 3rd party CPE, and a selection of CPE is also available.
"FleXport focuses on the needs of the business sector, offering high capacity, a powerful management system, and field-proven reliability," said Amnon Unger, CEO, Teledata Networks. "Judging by the interest shown by customers, it is clear that FleXport will reinforce Teledata Networks' position as a key provider of access platforms for business applications."
