LONDON -- AOL announced today that Carlo d’Asaro Biondo will become President of AOL Europe, effective immediately.
Commenting on Carlo’s appointment Joe Redling, President, AOL LLC, and CEO, AOL International said: “Carlo is eminently qualified for this important role, with a wide range of executive experience, most recently as CEO of AOL France. He will bring renewed vision, energy, innovation and commitment to growing our Web services business in Europe”.
After 11 years of outstanding service to AOL in the U.K. and throughout Europe, Karen Thomson has decided to step down from her role as President, AOL Europe.
Joe Redling said: “Karen built and led a very successful business. She adeptly managed the transition to broadband in the UK over the past several years together with the building of an outstanding audience business in the UK market. We thank her for her broad contribution and wish her every success as she pursues new challenges”.
