Metalink QAM Passes VDSL Test

YAKUM, Israel -- Metalink (Nasdaq: MTLK), a leading provider of high performance DSL silicon chipsets, announced today that the company's QAM VDSL chipset has been tested at BTExact's labs between June 30-July 2, 2003. These tests included the VDSL Olympics' main mandatory test suite. Metalink chipsets, using a fine-tuned firmware upgrade, improved reach by an average of 18% in comparison to the same tests done at BTExacts's labs on May 19-30, 2003. Metalink's QAM VDSL chipset demonstrated improved performance over all other commercially available VDSL chip-sets.
