Level 3 Names New CEO

BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- Level 3 Communications, Inc. (LVLT) today announced that Jeff K. Storey has been appointed by the Board of Directors to be the company's president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately. Mr. Storey was also nominated for election to the Board of Directors at the company's Annual Meeting of Stockholders to be held on May 23, 2013. The company also announced that James Q. Crowe will not stand for reelection to the company's Board of Directors at the company's 2013 Annual Meeting.
