ACTON, Mass. -- Pirus Networks, a next-generation storage networking company, today announced that John F. Gavin has joined the company as chief financial officer and treasurer. Reporting to CEO Rich Napolitano, Mr. Gavin will direct the Company's financial strategy and planning, business development, information systems, human resource functions and general administration.
With more than 20 years of financial and operations experience for leading organizations, Mr. Gavin has been instrumental in developing the business strategies and planning processes required to drive critical operational decisions. He has worked very closely with the financial and investment community, having led the process for a $430M merger of C-Port Corporation and Motorola, as well as serving in key financial positions with Compaq Computer Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation.
"As we begin to accelerate our product delivery, partnerships and distribution, John Gavin will be instrumental in aligning business practices to our plan," said Rich Napolitano, president and CEO of Pirus.
