Has received orders for its LMOC48VAR Load Module

CALABASAS, Calif. -- Ixia (Nasdaq:XXIA) announced today the release of its new optical interface card, the LMOC48VAR Load Module, which is targeted at high-end optical gigabit router and switch performance analysis. Ixia has already received orders for this sophisticated interface from a leading vendor of gigabit switch routers.
"The Ixia LMOC48VAR is designed as an integrated solution for interconnectivity validation, and is capable of varying its internal frequency oscillator, resulting in up to a 200ppm (-100ppm to +100ppm) frequency offset," said Eran Karoly, vice president of Marketing for Ixia. "Since the frequency offsets can be independently set on each OC48VAR Load Module, the device under test (DUT), which is typically an Internet backbone router, can be configured with many combinations of frequency offsets to simulate real-world interoperability between disparate systems."
