ARRIS announced that U.S. cable operator Insight Communications has approved the supplier's Cadant C4 CMTS for use in its VoIP rollout and placed orders for multiple C4 chassis equipped with high-density 2 downstream x 12 upstream channel Cable Access Modules (CAMs). Insight already uses ARRIS Cornerstone technology in its circuit-switched telephony markets and the C4 in high-speed data markets. ARRIS says the new order represents a commitment to the C4 for Insight's planned new market VoIP deployments.
