SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Inphi Corporation (NYSE: IPHI), a leading provider of high-speed, mixed signal semiconductor solutions for the communications and computing markets, today introduced its second generation 100G CMOS PHY/SerDes Gearbox (GB) IC for data center, enterprise and service provider line cards. Delivering the industry's most aggressive power and performance metrics, the new GB ICs with Inphi's Tri-Rate™ foundation enables seamless support of 10G, 40G and 100G Ethernet and OTN on a single line card. This second generation Tri-Rate PHY/SerDes is available in two variants:
IN112510-LD 100G GB for line cards, used alongside CFP2, CFP4 and QSFP28 modules
IN111010-LD 10x10G Retimer for line cards, used alongside SFP+, QSFP+ and CXP modulesBuilt on top of the foundation of Inphi's first generation PHY/SerDes GB the IN112510-LC, the second generation Inphi GB ICs are built to support Tri-Rate line cards while exceeding critical performance parameters in the IEEE 802.3ba, SFF-8431, OIF-28G-VSR and ITU specifications.In a separate release:SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Inphi Corporation (NYSE: IPHI), a leading provider of high-speed, mixed signal semiconductor solutions for the communications and computing markets, today announced that it has successfully demonstrated interoperability of its second generation Tri-Rate™ PHY/SerDes Gearbox (GB) ICs with Finisar and NeoPhotonics CFP2 optical modules. Based on Inphi's new Tri-Rate PHY/SerDes GB solutions (see announcement here), and together with ecosystem partners Finisar and NeoPhotonics, the companies will showcase the demonstration of next-generation 100G line card PHYs and modules interoperating with one another in Inphi's booth #3247 at OFC/NFOEC 2013, from March 19-21, 2013 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.As part of the interoperability demonstration, Inphi will showcase the new Tri-Rate IN112510-LD 100G GB interoperating with multimode CFP2 modules from Finisar supporting 10x10G, 2x40G, or 100G short reach links (0-300m), as well as single mode CFP2 modules for 100G long reach applications (0-10km) from Finisar and NeoPhotonics. Delivering the industry's most aggressive power and performance metrics, the new GB ICs with Inphi's Tri-Rate foundation, enables seamless support of 10G, 40G and 100G Ethernet and OTN on a single line card.
