SAN JOSE, Calif. -- NetScaler, Inc., the global leader in application delivery systems, today announced that Fieldglass, Inc. has deployed the NetScaler 9000 Series to optimize the performance and strengthen the security of its InSite® solution, a Web-based application that helps global companies manage the complexities of services procurement.

"We chose the NetScaler 9000 Series system for our network due to its superior combination of TCP and HTTP optimization, SSL acceleration, attack defense and Layer 4-7 switching capabilities," says Jeff Basso, director of technical operations, Fieldglass. "The 9000 Series makes our life easier by accelerating, securing, and simplifying our network to ensure that our InSite application environment is highly responsive, continuously available, and resistant to application-layer attacks. NetScaler's technology was the best of the numerous application delivery products we evaluated and tested."

"NetScaler enabled us to reduce cost and complexity by consolidating multiple devices while at the same time giving us additional functionality to dramatically improve the performance and security of our network infrastructure," adds Adam Levinson, manager of network infrastructure, Fieldglass.

Fieldglass counts on NetScaler to create a secure and responsive private marketplace between its customers and selected suppliers for the sourcing, delivery and management of third-party services, including contract labor, consulting and fixed-price projects.

"NetScaler systems typically are deployed in front of web servers supporting enterprise-critical applications to dynamically optimize and secure vast amounts of user requests reaching multiple servers," states Sheen Khoury, senior vice president of worldwide sales, NetScaler. "Our systems provide a more robust network for companies such as Fieldglass whose competitive success depends on the performance, availability, security and reduced cost of operations of its application networking infrastructure."
