Online video company Blip.tv added a slew of distribution partners today, including YouTube, Vimeo, NBC Local Media New York, and Roku. "Before today, Blip reached about half of all the video on the Internet," CEO Mike Hudack said. "Today, we probably reach about 80 percent."
Viacom reported a decline in earnings today, but investor panic seems to be subsiding, with Class B shares up nearly 30 percent year-to-date.
EdgeCast announced it is powering online video platform providers Castfire, PermissionTV, and Twistage yesterday.
And in today's News Bits, Apple has booted all Google Voice-related apps from its App Store.
