DALLAS -- AT&T U-verse customers in 40 markets across 15 states can now get home High Speed Internet at speeds of up to 45 Mbps downstream and up to 6 Mbps upstream. U-verse High Speed Internet Power is now available to eligible AT&T U-verse residential and small business customers in:
Birmingham, Huntsville-Decatur-Florence, and Mobile, AL
Hartford and New Haven, CT
Jacksonville, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and West Palm Beach-Ft. Pierce, FL
Atlanta, GA
Champaign and Chicago, IL
Indianapolis and South Bend-Elkhart, IN
Louisville, KY
Baton Rouge and New Orleans Metro, LA

AT&T’s expansion of faster U-verse Internet speeds is part of AT&T’s Project Velocity IP (VIP), a three-year investment plan announced last fall to expand and enhance its IP broadband networks. Through this investment, AT&T is supporting its customers’ growing desire for high-speed Internet access and new mobile, app and cloud-based services. Also, as part of Project VIP, AT&T plans to upgrade top tier U-verse speeds to up to 100 Mbps in the future.
