SIP Forum plans first SIPit interoperability event Asia

TAIPEI -- Perhaps the largest gathering of Asian developers of voice-over-IP products ever assembled has been invited to participate in the 15th SIPit ( interoperability event, the leading test event for cutting-edge technology in communication.

The SIPit events provide an unequaled opportunity to do interoperability testing of new products that use SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). SIP is the new technology that is revolutionizing communication, including voice over IP, voice and video conferencing, and instant messaging. SIPits are organized by the SIP Forum (, the industry organization leading the development and promotion of SIP.

The upcoming event will be held Aug. 23-27, in Taipei, Taiwan, hosted by CCL/ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute, The 15th SIPit will take place at the Grand Hyatt Taipei ( in the Grand Ballroom I, 2, Song Shou Road, Taipei, 110, Taiwan, Phone: +886-2-2720-1234, Fax: +886-2-2720-1111.

The 15th SIPit is being held at the same time as the Taipei Telecom 2004 show (, which takes place August 26-29 at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall (, just a few blocks from the SIPit event.
