Gordon Yang named president of ZyXEL Communications

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- ZyXEL Communications, a leading provider of secure broadband networking, Internet connectivity and routing products, today announced Gordon Yang as President of ZyXEL Communications, effective immediately. Yang will be responsible for leading the company’s business direction, strategy and execution to continue ZyXEL’s growth and momentum. The appointment was approved by the Board of Directors in July.

Yang joined ZyXEL in 1996 as President of its US operations. Previously he operated California-based Zero One Networking, Inc., the main distributor for ZyXEL modems in the US. ZyXEL acquired Zero One and Yang went on to hold numerous executive responsibilities with ZyXEL, ranging from product and solution development, to operational supervision, to channel business expansion. He most recently served as President of ZyXEL’s European Regional Business for three years.

In his new appointment, Yang will continue to lead new ZyXEL initiatives, spanning products, solutions, services and marketing activities. His goal is to develop solutions and programs that continue to create value for ZyXEL’s customers and position the company for long-term success. Yang received his MBA degree from the Graduate School of Claremont University in 1991.
