OTTAWA -- Enablence Technologies Inc. (“Enablence” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: ENA), a leading supplier of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) equipment for triple-play residential and business services and optical components and subsystems for access, metro and long-haul markets, has achieved certified supplier status with Cablevision Argentina, its largest client to date in the Central American/Latin American market, to roll-out fibre-to-the-business (FTTB) services.
Cablevision Argentina is the nation’s largest cable television provider, with more than 3.2 million subscribers in 96 urban markets across the country. Through Fibertel brand, it provides high-speed Internet to businesses in Buenos Aires and other regions of Argentina.
Eager to respond to the growing bandwidth and Quality of Service demands of its commercial Fibertel customers, Cablevision Argentina embarked on a program to qualify and select a new platform for highspeed voice and data services that would allow it to deliver more bandwidth to larger commercial customers. After engaging in extensive trials with offerings from a number of competing vendors, Cablevision Argentina selected Enablence.
