SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Analogix Semiconductor today announced that it has appointed semiconductor industry veteran Mark Vecchiarelli to the position of Vice President of Sales. Vecchiarelli will lead Analogix’s sales activity with leading OEMs incorporating the company’s breakthrough mixed signal interconnect technology for next generation high-bandwidth, enterprise class routers, switches and broadband equipment, and will be responsible for developing and managing the Analogix sales and support channels worldwide.

Vecchiarelli brings more than 24 years of semiconductor sales, marketing and operations experience to Analogix. He was most recently vice president of sales for Teradiant and Zettacom, developers of high-performance networking semiconductors, where he helped the companies achieve industry-leading revenue, design-win and market-share growth figures.

Previously he was director of west coast sales for Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC), where he was the company's top performer in design wins, percentage growth in value-per-design, and percentage revenue growth. Vecchiarelli also held senior sales positions in leading semiconductor firms such as Transwitch, LG Semicon, and OKI Semiconductor.

“Mark possesses a vast range of semiconductor sales experience and established relationships with the entrenched and emerging networking-system vendors,” said Bill Eichen, president and COO of Analogix. “His sales performance in high-growth industry firms speaks for itself, his semiconductor industry background is highly regarded, and he has built strong sales organizations for both new and established semiconductor companies.”

Vecchiarelli holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, a BSEET from DeVry Institute of Technology and has performed extensive post-graduate work in the field of Organization Theory. Vecchiarelli has served on the Fort Collins Economic Development Council and is currently a member of the board of directors for Monitron, a leading supplier of Home Land Security hardware and support services.
