AFL Telecommunications targets the Canadian market via agreements with Petro Comm Industries and Capella Telecommunications

SPARTANBURG, S.C., EDMONTON, Alberta, and PETERBOROUGH, Ontario -- Alcoa's AFL Telecommunications announces a major initiative to better serve the Canadian telecommunications market via Stocking Distributor Agreements with Petro Comm Industries Ltd. and Capella Telecommunications, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, the Canadian distributors will stock the complete line of AFL's Apparatus and Interconnect products including fiber closures, repeater cases, and fiber interconnect and fiber management products. Through its acquisition of Keptel, AFL Telecommunications is a leader in Fiber Closures and Digital Repeater Housings designed for outside plant deployment. Its LightLink(tm) family of Fiber Interconnect products focuses on protecting, preserving and securing the optical network and consists of Equipment Frame Systems, High Density Fiber Management Systems, Panel Products, Interbay Storage, Splice Modules, Wall Cabinets, Entrance Enclosures, Coupler Modules and Adapter Plates. "As stocking distributors, Capella and Petro Comm will provide the Canadian market with immediate access to the most commonly used interconnect and apparatus products," said George Steenton, General Manager of AFL Interconnect & Apparatus.
