SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. -- Xebeo Communications, Inc., a leading developer of carrier-class switching platforms for the Optical Ethernet market, today announced that Michael P. Skarzynski, former CEO of Predictive Networks and U.S. Assistant Secretary for Trade Development, has joined the company as President and Chief Executive Officer. In his new post, Mr. Skarzynski brings more than 20 years of top corporate, entrepreneurial, and government expertise. During 2000-2001, Mr. Skarzynski was CEO and Board Member at Predictive Networks where he is credited with raising their Series C financing and bringing on such major customers, partners and investors as AT&T, NTT, Intel, Net2Phone, and PSINet. In accepting his new appointment, Mr. Skarzynski stated, "Carriers are intensely interested in meeting demand for Optical Ethernet connectivity in the metropolitan area and beyond. The key to successfully serving their needs is to deliver a scalable solution that provides high-value services over Optical Ethernet. This solution must integrate with their existing infrastructure, while extending it for higher-speed connectivity, improved economics, and simplified operations. Xebeo is very well positioned to deliver this solution by virtue of several technological breakthroughs. I look forward to working with Xebeo's talented team to advance this vision and transform it into a profitable reality in the market." Xebeo Communications Inc.
