BETHPAGE, New York and NEW YORK, New York – Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE: CVC) and CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS.A and CBS) today announced that Cablevision is the first operator to provide access to live authenticated streaming on CBS.com and the CBS App, giving Cablevision’s Optimum TV customers the ability to stream CBS live online and on mobile devices.

The live feed – which includes daytime, primetime and late night CBS shows, special events, local news and sports – is available on desktop devices via CBS.com, on iOS and Android mobile devices and tablets through the CBS App, and through Chromecast by casting from their desktop, iOS or Android device. Optimum customers can log in to the service using their Optimum username and password; they can also access the CBS App directly from the TV to GO tab on the Optimum App.

Optimum TV customers can now view a live stream of CBS while within every market served by a CBS owned and operated station, which includes New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, Miami, Denver, Sacramento, Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

Last year Cablevision and CBS announced a broad-based, multi-year content carriage agreement, in which Cablevision also became the first cable or satellite provider to announce plans to distribute CBS All Access and SHOWTIME Internet services to its customers.
