Transmode selects Magdalene as UK network services support partner

STOCKHOLM -- Transmode, a pioneer of optical networking solutions and Magdalene, the independent, multi-tier, multi-vendor service house today announced that Transmode has chosen Magdalene as its Network Services Support Partner for the UK.

From its Service Support Centre based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire Magdalene will deliver a complete service portfolio including in-depth product fault management, 24 x 7 x 365 onsite services including optional spares management, Network Operations Monitoring and Training services. These new services will complement Transmode's existing support base in Stockholm, Sweden.

"I am very pleased to welcome Magdalene onboard as our UK Partner," said Stefan Lindblad, Transmode's Customer Services Manager. "Magdalene's experienced field and back office staff are an excellent extension to our core team and allow Transmode to offer an even wider range of services to our current and potential customers."

As one of Transmode's major markets, the UK includes a significant number of previously announced and unannounced customers ranging from carriers and cable operators to enterprises and educational establishments. This growth in customer base been accompanied by a demand for a wider range of services which Transmode has addressed through this local partnership.

Magdalene's very experienced technical staff have been trained in Transmode's technology and they will now support the complete Transmode portfolio in multiple live customer deployments, operating seamlessly within the Transmode organisation.
