November 26, 2013
CAMBRIDGE, UK -- Leading independent small cell innovator and system builder, ip.access, today announced availability of its second generation small cell product-line based on Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.’s (QTI), a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) small cell chipset.
This new compact form-factor device offers high performance, evolved high-speed packet access (HSPA+) support and Wi-Fi + DSL integration options. Developed based on QTI’s FSM series chipset, this new product line represents the next generation of volume optimised small cells for enterprise and residential applications.
The new small cells will be shipping starting from the first quarter of 2014 and are already slated for delivery in newly won, high volume projects. The product-line is delivered with an original design manufacturer (ODM) in a move that ip.access says will enable it to offer unrivalled price and performance capability and grow its mass-market deployments.
