TDK to Sell Vativ LIUs

SAN DIEGO and IRVINE, Calif. -- Vativ Technologies, Inc and. TDK Semiconductor, Corporation, a subsidiary of TDK Corporation [NYSE:TDK], today announced a strategic supply agreement to create dual sources for Vativ's VTE3 DS3/E3/STS-1 Line Interface Unit (LIU) family of integrated circuits. By utilizing Vativ's innovative DSP-based design techniques, the VTE3 family of multi-channel LIUs provides best-of-breed performance with low power. TDK will offer Vativ's DS3 LIUs under the TDK Semiconductor brand to its extensive customer base worldwide, providing access, metro and edge telecommunications system equipment vendors with selection, support, and continuity of supply unmatched by other DS3 LIU vendors.
