T-Hrvatski Telekom Deploys T-VIPS

OSLO, Norway -- T-VIPS AS, a global leader in professional video management and distribution, with advanced solutions for the contribution & distribution of broadcast quality video signals, today announces that T-HT (part of the Deutsche Telecom Group) has deployed T-VIPS TVG415 gateway products to enable the transport of SD/SDI video over its IP Network. T-HT, the largest network operator in Croatia, is deploying the TVG415s to transport high quality video between studios over its Metro Ethernet network.

The T-VIPS JPEG2000 over IP solution enables T-HT to utilize unused network capacity, providing the company with an opportunity to reach a new group of customers and new revenue opportunities. The T-VIPS TVG415 is easily upgraded to HD-SDI signals without service downtime - a key T-HT requirement.
