HONG KONG -- Streaming21, the world’s leader in broadcast-quality streaming solutions, together with its set-top box partner, Coship will showcase IPTV and mobile TV solutions at ITU Telecom World 2006 in Hong Kong, December 4~8. The demonstration will highlight Streaming21’s current successes in providing these services to multiple incumbent operators in Asia. Visitors will experience richly interactive and personalized demos of converged TV services for live broadcast, video-on-demand, PVR, live mobile television, mobile Vlog, mobile security, and more, based on industry-standard H.264 and 3GPP specifications.

The exhibition will spotlight high-definition television (HDTV) and mobile TV. Currently, Streaming21 and Coship are working closely to develop a fully integrated H.264 solution for IPTV. This revolutionary technology offers a step change in picture quality with amazing high-definition video quality. It also delivers significant advancements in video compression and coding efficiency, enhancing the efficiency and cost effectiveness of delivering optimal video quality over IP networks at very low bit rates.

Additionally, Streaming21 will showcase a variety of its recent mobile innovations. These mobile TV services, adopting 3GPP media format, enable subscribers to watch both local and foreign live TV channels anywhere in the world by using service-ready 3G handsets. Also exhibited are karaoke, traffic monitoring, movie-on-demand, and Vlog mobile applications.
