SAN JOSE, Calif. -- StockerYale, Inc., an independent leading designer and manufacturer of optical sub-component products, presents its best-in-class polarization maintaining fiber at Photonics West in San Jose, CA, January 22-24, 2002. StockerYale’s polarization maintaining fiber is specifically designed for use in gyroscopes, high-voltage current sensors, high-data-rate communications systems, and polarization-sensitive components.StockerYale’s polarization maintaining fiber has a high birefringence (hi-bi), to better maintain polarization, and low attenuation, to provide greater flexibility in system designs requiring long coil lengths. Reduced outer cladding diameters improve coil turn density, and high core circularities allow for easier spliceability. In addition, the bow-tie stress structure design of the polarization fiber is ideal for high birefringence.StockerYale’s polarization maintaining fiber is available in operation wavelengths in the range of 850nm to 1550nm, and large coating outer diameters are available. StockerYale can also custom design the polarization maintaining fiber to meet specific customer requirements. StockerYale Inc.
