SolarFlare Names Engineering VP

Bradley Masters has been appointed VP of engineering SolarFlare Communications

IRVINE, Calif. -- SolarFlare Communications Inc., a developer of high-performance semiconductor products for physical layer connectivity and the leader in 10 Gbit/s Ethernet over copper development, has appointed Bradley Masters as vice president of Engineering. Masters will report to Russell Stern, CEO.

"We are extremely fortunate to have Brad on our team," said Stern. "He is an excellent engineering executive with the capability to build and develop a world-class organization."

Masters brings over 15 years of executive leadership in high technology to his new role at SolarFlare Communications. Previously, he was vice president of Engineering for JNI Corp. (was Nasdaq:JNIC), a leading supplier of Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters and Infiniband Host Channel Adapters. Prior to JNI, Masters spent 17 years at Western Digital Corp. (Nasdaq:WDC), where he was vice president of A/V Product Development and served in various hardware, firmware, software and VLSI engineering management positions until co-founding and taking on the role of senior vice president of Engineering and Operations for Keen Personal Media, which developed Personal Video Recording hardware and software.
