MANCHESTER, U.K. -- Leading networking company, NetServices Plc, has today announced the acquisition of Telefónica UK Ltd. This acquisition adds significantly to the client base of NetServices in areas of broadband and IP VPN network services for the SME, corporate and ISP markets. The deal will add an estimated £20 million to NetServices Plc annual turnover in the next fifteen months.

Commenting on the acquisition Mark Vickers managing director of NetServices Plc said: “NetServices has built a strong industry reputation within the UK as the power behind the Internet for many companies. With the acquisition of Telefónica UK we will be extending our network reach, product range and market presence.”

Over the next few months NetServices will integrate the Telefónica UK network and operations into its own network realising cost savings and service performance gains.

He continued: “The acquisition of Telefónica UK supports the ongoing NetServices growth strategy. Over the next few months we expect to acquire additional companies that will increase our user base both at home and abroad as well as enable the delivery of new technologies. NetServices is leading the industry in developing and implementing new networking business facilities including voice over IP and disaster recovery.”

NetServices plc
