HELSINKI -- Tieto has entered to an agreement with Telenor Key Partner (TKP) for the company's global Microsoft SharePoint, Unified Communication and Oracle ERP solutions. The value of the agreement is 125 million NOK over five years.

Tieto has been one of several suppliers to TKP's IT-portfolio since 2006. The new contract marks a distinct expansion of the co-operation, and will in effect include almost all of TKP's IT-portfolio. Tieto will be responsible for supplying infrastructure services and application management to TKP's IT-systems, including Microsoft SharePoint and Oracle ERP.

The expansion of the current contract means that TKP will reduce integration and administrative costs due to choosing one platform. Tieto's service is not affected by time differences, which makes the service more applicable worldwide.

Andreas Vik, CEO of TKP, says: "We have had a successful co-operation with Tieto for several years. Tieto's experience with outsourcing, especially concerning solutions from Oracle and Microsoft, was decisive in the decision to expand the co-operation. TKP has set demanding requirements in both quality and flexibility in up- and downsizing of services and volume. By using one supplier as opposed to several, TKP will reduce costs and become more competitive, says Andreas Vik, CEO of TKP."
